Adult Learners Are Experienced

First, the adults you’ll be presenting to have a wealth of knowledge and years of experience. Use this to your advantage. While they may not have experience with the subject matter itself, they do have a lot of life experience.

Children, on the other hand, do not have as much life experience and may need more “prodding” when it comes to answering questions and participating.

Use your adult students as a resource. Use open-ended questions to draw out their knowledge and experience, especially if you want to involve your learners more in the presentation.
