Adult Learning Principles

 

It will probably come as no surprise that children and adults learn differently and approach learning differently. When you’re presenting to these two different groups, it’s important to keep these differences in mind and adjust your teaching approach accordingly.

Adults have different viewpoints, experiences, and expectations when it comes to learning.

More specifically, adult learners are:

  • Experienced
  • Results-Oriented
  • Skeptical
  • Busy
