One of the most important things you can do to engage your learners is to make direct eye contact. It immediately involves the audience in your presentation and leads them to trust you.
Here are some tips for good eye contact.
Don’t:
- Look at one person for too long. This makes the person and the audience uncomfortable.
- Look over or behind the audience.
- Spend too much time staring down at your notes or PowerPoint slides or talking with your head down.
