Gestures

Believe it or not, what you do with your hands and arms during a presentation can give a positive or negative impression:

These gestures give a negative impression:

Crossed arms:Crossing your arms can say you’re scared, angry, or uncertain.

Gripping hands together: This gives the impression you’re nervous.

Holding arms out, palms down: This gives a dominating and even condescending impression.

Pointing fingers: Avoid pointing your fingers at people. This sends a message of dominance and anger.
