K2/Spice and Bath Salts are synthetic drugs that are sold over the Internet, in convenience stores, and in “head shops.” U.S. lawmakers are taking measures to ban these drugs.
K2 or Spice is also known as “synthetic marijuana” and is often marketed as “herbal incense” or “fake weed.” It’s a mixture of herbs and spices that is typically sprayed with a chemical similar to THC, the psychoactive ingredients in marijuana.
Bath Salts are synthetic stimulants also known as Designer Cathinones. Drugs including amphetamines, cocaine, Khat, LSD, and Ecstasy have similar effects to Bath Salts.
