Another distraction you may encounter is participants talking to each other while you are presenting. In most cases, this will probably die down before you have to say something, but if it doesn’t, you will need to act quickly so that your other participants are able to focus on you.
The following questions or statements will more than likely get them to stop talking and turn their attention back to you.
“Did you have a question I can help answer for you?”
“There will be time at the end of the presentation to answer your questions.”
“Do you have information you’d like to share?”
If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to be more direct and ask them to stop talking.
