Syringe
Hypodermic syringes are used with hypodermic needles to inject a liquid into body tissue.
Syringes are used legitimately for medical purposes to inject into or withdraw fluid from the body. Medical syringes consist of a needle attached to a hollow cylinder that is fitted with a sliding plunger. The downward motion of the plunger injects fluid while an upward movement withdraws fluid. Once made of metal or glass, most syringes are now made of plastic and are disposable.
Intravenous drug abusers, inject a liquid form of various drugs such as heroin, methamphetamine, methadone, or steroids into their bodies.
